Italy's capital is Rome. The country became a nation state in 1816. On march 17, 1861 ​it officially became a independent kingdom. In 2011 there was an estimated 8.4% unemployment rate. In Italy they produce about 279 billion kWh which is 9th in the world.
Italy has two extra islands Sicily and Sardinia​, but still is only slightly larger than Arizona. It is a peninsula with about 7600km of coastline. Italy has volcanoes like mount Etna.
